Mother Deer

Follow Mother Deer on her quest to bring the sunshine back to the forest. Mother Deer is a beautiful and playful show for family audiences that captures their imaginations and inspires them to think about our environment, the animals, and their place in the natural world. VOLT: Circus Scratch Night
Thursday 30 January, 7:30pm
Welcome to our next popular circus scratch night!
VOLT is a regional circus scratch night, creating an opportunity for circus artists to share work-in-progress pieces in a professional environment. Artists present short pieces of new work to a public audience, discuss their work in feedback sessions, and invite the audience to provide constructive criticism to take away.
For scratch, your work does not need to be polished. You might see the first draft of a brand new piece, or a reworked extract from an existing show. Find out more
Ceilidh Night at Circomedia

Looking for a night out with a twist? Join us for our Ceilidh Night at Circomedia presented in partnership with Bowreed.
On Saturday 8 February, step into a fun-filled world of ceilidh dancing at our unique city-centre venue. Dance under the stained glass and stage-lights of this breathtaking converted church with some of the best trad musicians around. Whether you’ve been to a ceilidh before or have no idea what it is, this night is for everyone. Our live band will fill the space with toe-tapping tunes, while a friendly caller guides you through the steps. Find out more
Adult Class Showcase

This showcase is an opportunity for our recreational students to create, devise, and perform a routine in their chosen discipline at our spectacular Portland Square venue.

The Gingerbread Man

Community Open Doors Event

Back by popular demand, we are delighted to be hosting our FREE Community Open Doors event again for 2025!
Come along to this free, family-friendly day in our home at St. Paul’s Church and enjoy a range of interactive activities. The workshops will be curated by celebrated local creative Norman ‘Rubba’ Stephenson and hosted by Circomedia.
With workshops in circus, African drumming and dance young people and adults alike can enjoy a range of other engaging activities from creatives in our local community. Find out more

Circus as Drawing Symposium
Friday 28 – Sunday 30 March, 10:00am – 4:00pm
This Spring, we are offering Artistic Research Partnerships that are open to both circus and visual artists. Come and explore the theme of ‘Circus as Drawing’ with us at our Kingswood training facilities.
Through this three-day symposium, Circus Artists and Visual Artists will have the chance to discuss how circus bodies can make marks, how visual artists engage with the physical act of drawing, to sketch, move, perform, and play in an open and collaborative environment. Find out more
BA Final Major Projects

Circomedia Silent Disco

This isn’t your average night out. This April, we’re transforming the iconic St Paul’s Church at Circomedia into a dance floor like no other. Picture this: stunning architecture, electrifying vibes, and you, lost in the music.
