Develop as a performer on our vocational courses
In an intensive training experience, you will have the chance to study a wide range of disciplines and styles. This includes circus, physical theatre, movement, and creativity and devising, with opportunities to develop performance skills for a range of different settings and audiences. You may also explore the various cultural, historical, and social contexts of circus and physical theatre.

What will you study?
The Vocational Course is a self-funded and non-accredited course available to anyone over the age of 18.
From September 2025, Circomedia is re-imagining its offer for vocational students who wish to engage with our programme.
We are expanding our offer to include a menu of courses that are tailored to the needs of those wishing to train, create, innovate, and ultimately secure work in the circus sector.
You will be able to select from a series of units, ranging from circus skills classes to physical theatre, actor movement, creative projects, constructing an act, and research opportunities.
These courses are open to all from beginners to professionals and will be posted in more detail shortly. Watch this space! What do you need?
To apply for the Vocational Course you’ll need to demonstrate that you have the self-discipline to pursue the physical training regime of your chosen subjects, and ideally show prior experience in circus, dance, gymnastics, parkour/extreme sports or theatre. Beyond that, we are looking for creative and enthusiastic people willing to take risks, push themselves and be open to trying new things.
