Mother Deer

Sun 22 – Tue 24 Dec 2024

Join us this December for a new, family-friendly winter show!

Mother Deer is a beautiful and playful show for family audiences that captures their imaginations and inspires them to think about our environment, the animals, and their place in the natural world. Based on an ancient Northern European Folk tale about the Winter Solstice, Mother Deer blends aerial acrobatics, dance, and sensory theatre in a feast of festive storytelling full of mischief, wonder, and magic.

Follow Mother Deer on her quest to bring the sunshine back to the forest. This show uses light and shadow, live music, and sound to remind us of our deep connection to the natural world in the English Winter months. It encourages the audience to explore natural environments with confidence and curiosity and is a wholesome antidote to consumer Christmas, with a focus on playing together in nature.

For ages 5+ and their families.

Mother Deer is a new show created by Acrobatic Adventures and commissioned by Circomedia, with thanks to the support of The Leche Trust and the Garrick Charitable Trust.
