Diploma courses
We are offering a new series of courses and professional enhancement opportunities, starting in 2025.
This is a new suite of training courses to support both professionals and those newer to circus.
Our Diploma Courses are offered at our bespoke circus campus in Kingswood, Bristol, and represent a continuation of our commitment to excellence in the training, performing and artistic development of circus physicality.
STUDY IN A PROFESSIONAL CIRCUS ENVIROMENT: DEVELOP, INNOVATE, REFLECT, AND GROW.
For those wishing to study with us more long term:
There is the possibility to train with us in three-month blocks. These can be extended to a full year and offer training in a range of circus disciplines, physical theatre, movement techniques, and creative projects.
These blocks can be made up of training segments that will help you to reach your goals, to create a full Circomedia experience that gives you circus skill, stagecraft and dance technique, and the ability to critically reflect and devise your own circus acts.
By selecting four or more of these segments per term you will be able to create your own bespoke year with us here at Circomedia. Entry points can be negotiated with us to be in basic group classes or more individual one-to-one engagements.
In this way you could stay with us for the full three years to earn our unique Circomedia ‘Artistry in Circus’ Diploma.
All entry points for our Diploma courses are in September, unless there are specific abilities that you wish to enhance with us, then starting dates can be similarly negotiated.
If you are a beginner and are looking to join group classes in a specific circus discipline, learn Physical Theatre, upskill your Movement and Dance Technique, and learn how to make work that is ready for the professional sector, then we suggest you contact admissions@circomedia.com to find out more about study with us from three months to three years.
If you are a professional, alumnus, or someone of experience looking to elevate your discipline in any of the above areas, you can also opt to stay with us for three months to a year (and beyond if you so choose).
We can offer you individual classes in circus skill, and a mentored approach to creating new work. Physical Theatre and Movement/Dance Technique are still on offer here too. Contact us to discuss your level and we can suggest the best Diploma outcome for you.
If you are a professional looking to make a new piece of work or develop work for a funding bid, why not sign up for a three-month creative project, and receive training space and specific mentoring from one of our highly trained professional teachers. (This can also be done remotely, through regular online sessions.)
