The Decadent Rabbit Cabaret Call-Out
The Decadent Rabbit Cabaret are looking for Cabaret/Burlesque performers for their 2024 run at Circomedia, Bristol on 29 and 30 November 2024.

What we are looking for:
We are looking for artists who have a keen interest and strong solo act that fits within the Cabaret and/or Burlesque genre, who are Bristol-based (or willing to travel to) and who have a connection with Circomedia (member of staff, alumni etc).
-You will already be working in, or have a keen interest to work in the Cabaret/Burlesque circuit and have the capability and skills to work ensemble with other chosen cast members.
-You will need to be over 18 years old.
-You will need to be available for all the show dates, plus tech on Thursday 28 November.
– We cannot accept applications from artists who will be current full-time students at Circomedia during and leading up to our shows.
**Please note our shows are for adult audiences aged 18 only and can include adult themes.
Decadent Rabbit Cabaret Shows:
The Decadent Rabbit has a mission to create Cabaret that is innovative and entertaining, and above all – never boring. Founded in 2016, we create living, contemporary Cabaret shows, with live music and theatrical ensemble elements, for adult audiences that aim to be uniquely ambitious, astonishing, intimate and inclusive.
We are a premier professional company and a respected show amongst the national Cabaret scene and employ professional and emerging Cabaret artists.
We produce productions that have fostered a continually expanding audience base, a deepening pool of artists, and numerous accolades from both critics and our colleagues.
The genre of Cabaret has grown from an alternative underbelly art form and its roots continue to expand. We are proud to be part of this delightful scene that allows artists to share their stories and personal experiences, through positive self expression, in a way that is authentic to them. With each show, we are adding positivity and creativity to our community through Cabaret.
The 2024 Show:
In November 2024, we will be working in partnership with Circomedia to produce a new cabaret performance.
Selected artists will perform their solo acts in each of our shows and will also be included in original ensemble numbers/moments in the show.
Rehearsals:
Artists will participate in devised ensemble rehearsals that will feature in the show.
Each artist will have time working with director Alex Hofgartner on their solo act, but please note these sessions will be working with your already existing act, rather than new material.
Rehearsals will be paid at an hourly rate, but won’t include travel.
Show rehearsals will take place in the months leading up to the show and will be arranged around people’s availability. Please note the majority of rehearsals will likely take place during midweek evenings and possibly some Sundays.
Shows and rehearsals are paid.

-Confirmation that you are available for show dates and tech day.
-A cover letter letting us know why you would like to join the Decadent Rabbit Cabaret 2024 and what you feel you can bring to the show.
*****Please note short clips/showreels will not be accepted as an application, we must see full-length footage of your act (this can be a live performance video or a non-live presentation filmed in a studio or space).
